external factors

External factors are generally factors outside our control but which we may have to accomodate ar make exceptions for. external factors can influence how we develop and deliver products and services e.g:

Political Factors: Health and safety laws are an example of polictical factors, other examples include Export and excise duty, right to work etc.

Economic Factors: this includes interest rates, exchange rates, tax rates, inflation, labour costs, salaries, supply / demand. etc.

Social factors: how people interact, peer pressure, team dynamics, supplier relationships, customer relationships.etc.

Technological Factors: Technological factors can include considerations such as adopting a cloud first strategy and which public cloud to use.

Legal Factors: legislation such as GDPR, ensuring we handle sensitive personal data in line with the legislation

Environmental Factors: A pandemc is a good example, we have to provide services and products that enable the employee to carry out their role remotely, without unduly impacting performance and service deliverables.
